What is hash CBD?

CBD resin is nothing more than a concentrate of hemp. Depending on the extraction and production methods used (which we'll describe in detail below), it's possible to obtain varieties of CBD resin that are more or less colorful, more or less rich in cannabinoids and in higher or lower concentrations! CBD resins (also known as CBD shit or CBD hash) come in a variety of textures: sometimes pasty, sometimes soft, easy to crumble.

This hash can take different forms. Indeed, some hash CBD hashes are relatively dark, almost black in color, while others are more yellow, orange or even green. In short, different varieties, with sometimes surprising tastes and aromas, that deserve to be tested and discovered.

The characteristics of CBD resins depend on the hemp used. Indeed, a CBD hash made from hemp Strawberry Haze (with its powerful berry and strawberry notes) will never taste the same as a CBD hash Super Lemon Haze, whose citrus and bitterness are universally recognized.

Is it legal to buy and consume CBD resins? This question arises whenever the subject of CBD comes up. In France, as in the rest of the European Union, it is indeed possible to offer for sale and consume products derived from cannabis sativa L, on the sole condition that they contain less than 0.2% THC (tetrahydrocannabinol, the psychotropic molecule of the cannabis plant. In addition, the product must be made from a hemp from the European Union, since the latter is traceable and, in 99.9% of cases, natural and organic.

What are the supposed benefits of a hash of CBD?

Like all products derived from hemp and rich in CBD, consuming hemp resin could have a number of benefits:

  • Reducing feelings of stress and anxiety: cannabidiol targets serotonin (the happy hormone) and cortisol (the stress hormone), promoting relaxation. Ideal for better sleep!
  • Combating pain and inflammation: chronic pain could be relieved by cannabidiol solutions.
  • Fighting and reducing addiction

Further studies are needed to ascertain these potential benefits. At this stage, CBD's action is merely assumed!

What are the different types of hash CBD extraction?

In the rest of this content, we'll tell you all about the different methods of extracting hash from CBD that currently exist on the market.

1. Screen

CBD resin can be made using the sieve extraction method. Ultimately quite simple in concept, this method involves separating the cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids from the rest of the hemp plant. The small mesh size of the sieve helps to achieve this. Of course, there's a certain process to follow, which we've outlined for you right here:

  • 1. First, cover a salad bowl with a thin cloth. Then place your crumbled hemp flowers on the same cloth.
  • 2. Add plastic film on top. The idea is to close and secure the Flowers, to prevent them from falling etc...
  • 3. Then beat the top of the bowl. This will allow you to collect the trichomes and other components of the cannabis plant, right in the bowl!

The result is a rather unusual texture in your container. You'll need to collect it before passing it through a sieve. Once you've collected your solution, knead it for 5 to 10 minutes. The idea here is to heat it up. Indeed, the higher the hash's heat, the greater its aromas and benefits. Of course, the aim is to find the right balance between action, color, aroma and user experience.

Once the process is complete, you can leave your hash to mature for a few days, in a cool, dry place. It will then consolidate and unfold all its actions. You can then store it for the long term.

2. Ice-o-lator

Theice-o-lator method is very different from the one described above. The latter is based oncold extraction rather than heat. The low temperatures allow the trichomes to extract themselves from the CBD flower , resulting in a premium quality CBD hash !

Before proceeding, place your crumbled hemp flowers in the freezer for 48 hours. Then place the flowers in a container filled with water and ice cubes. Stir vigorously for a few minutes. When the process is complete, filter the mixture through a small cloth (again, with a mesh of varying widths!).

This is where it all comes down to it. Separate the water from the hash using a filter, the mesh of which will, once again, affect its quality. Once you've finished, leave everything to air-dry. Do not heat hash or expose it to light. After a few days maturing in a dry place, you'll have a quality product that you can then eat. An efficient way to extract hash CBD!

3. Dry extraction

Dryextraction of hash CBD is the best-known and most widely-used extraction method used by professionals to obtain premium-quality CBD hash. To achieve this, the plant material must be placed in an airtight bag and then placed in the freezer for 24 hours.

The next day, use a mesh to tap the buds, grass and leaves of your hemp plant. The pollen is then extracted. This method is often used in Morocco, where CBD resin producers generally use rather large, heavy meshes.

4. Jellyha

In addition to the extractions described above, you can obtain hash CBD by carrying out a bag extraction, to which you will add a small amount of BHO. This oil BHO will then act as a binding agent. The aim here is to improve the product's smoothness and malleability, so that it can be easily consumed.

Finally, CBD hash has a soft texture. Comparable to the ice-o-lator method, this resin remains softer and reveals a slightly more reddish color. A rich, fragrant product that's ready to eat!

5. Rosin

A CBD hash can also be made from CBD rosin. Rosin / budder is an extract fromoil of Cannabis Sativa L, obtained under heat and pressure. Unlike BHO (obtained with butane gas), this method does not require the use of solvents. In fact, CBD hash is obtained by heating the CBD rosin. The result is an intense, powerful hashish of consistently pleasant fragrance. A method made popular by the publication of a video of someone heating his rosin with a straightening iron.

What are the different types of hash CBD?

There are different types of CBD resins which, depending on the extraction method chosen and the hemp plant selected, give more or less different results.

1. Moroccan CBD hash

Let's start with the Moroccan CBD hash variety! In Morocco, it's the Rif region (in the north of the country, facing the Mediterranean Sea) that's best known for its high-quality CBD hash. In fact, it's one of the most important resin-producing regions in the world. The reason? Cannabis Sativa L plants have been grown here for thousands of years!

On site, the methods of extraction and the varieties grown and harvested vary according to the season and the mood. The plants are in fact grown and harvested before being cut and dried. These are (usually) beaten with a small sieve, in order to extract the plant particles and trichomes which, it should be remembered, are essential to the production and manufacture of hash CBD. The final product is hash , named after its region of origin: Morocco!

2. The CBD hash Afghani

Let's continue our journey, this time towards Afghanistan and surrounding countries such as India and Pakistan. Compared to what can be found in Morocco or even Lebanon, the AfghanCBD hash variety is known for being rather mild. Its characteristic dark color is another of its strong points. These resins are produced in countries where the hemp harvested comes from the rugged slopes of the Himalayas. Not exactly a dedicated climate, to which some local hemp varieties have adapted.

The cultivated hemp plant bears its "fruit" in winter. The plants are then beaten to extract all the trichomes (as essential as ever) and other particles and plant matter essential to the production of this product. The result is then pressed and heated to obtain a homogeneous, compact mixture, which is none other than CBD hash afghane.

3. La CBD hash Libanaise

Like CBD hash Afghan, CBD hash Lebanese is produced from hemp strains grown and harvested in the Himalayas. The major difference here lies in the harvesting period. In fact, Lebanese CBD resins are produced from wilted hemp plants. This is why the resin is red in color. Production techniques, however, remain the same.

Can you extract hash CBD at home?

Yes, it is quite possible toextract CBD resins in DIY (do it yourself) format. However, we insist that you have the necessary basic equipment (sieves, jars, etc.) at your disposal. In addition, it is imperative to pay particular attention to the hemp plant you will be using.

If you go through a grower, we will not be able to confirm the legality of the product. That's why, if you're thinking of starting toextract hash CBD? We invite you to prefer products and raw materials from recognized professionals.

Extraction of CBD hash : points not to be overlooked

As mentioned above, hash CBD extracted in a natural and consumer-friendly way is said to have a number of benefits. But what about the supposed side effects? Rest assured, unlike THC, taking CBD has no side effects (red eyes, cravings, etc.).

On the other hand, taking too much CBD can lead to undesirable side effects, such as nausea, diarrhea and so on. That's why we recommend a gradual approach, gradually increasing the dosage of your products.
