A reminder about CBN, the cannabinoid derived from the plant of hemp
CBN (cannabinol) is one of the three cannabinoids most present in the hemp plant, along with CBD and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), of which it is the precursor.
This molecule exists only because THC is present in the cannabis plant. A cannabinoid first discovered and named in the 1940s by Professor Raphael Mechoulam.
What is hash de CBN?
CBN resin is a concentrated extract from hemp. It is very rich in cannabinoids, notably CBN and CBD, as well as terpenes. This extract comes in the form of a soft paste (sometimes a little harder) and is generally consumed via a dry herbs vaporizer although other methods of consumption exist, but we'll come back to this below.
CBN's hash is said to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties. It could therefore be used to treat a multitude of health problems such as joint pain or skin infections.
However, its effects are still assumed, and numerous studies/research projects have been carried out on the subject... while just as many others are still in progress!
Is this hemp derivative legal?
In France, hemp products containing less than 0.2% THC are legal. Like CBD resin, CBN resin contains no THC and is therefore perfectly legal in France. What's more, since it contains no THC, it has no psychoactive effects.
What are the known therapeutic effects?
The therapeutic effects of cannabinol are numerous. Several studies have shown that this cannabinoid can :
- Relieve joint and muscle pain;
- Promoting sleep;
- Reduce anxiety-related symptoms;
- Soothe muscle spasms;
- Relieve nausea;
- Reduce inflammation of the respiratory tract;
- Relieve symptoms associated with certain neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's.
These effects are still assumed. As explained above, several studies and research projects have been launched to better understand the action of this cannabinoid, which remains much less well known than CBD or THC.
What about side effects? There are none. However, over-consumption of hash CBN may cause undesirable effects such as :
- Difficulty concentrating;
- Reduced reflexes ;
- A feeling of euphoria;
- A possible feeling of opression;
- Increased heart rate and blood flow;
It is therefore important to respect the recommended doses if you wish to take this cannabinoid for therapeutic purposes. We also recommend that you speak to your doctor before any consumption, so that he or she can advise you on the best way to integrate hash cannabinol into your existing medical treatment.
How to use hash CBN
How you consume the resin depends mainly on your habits. CBN resin is generally taken by vaporization, using a dry herbs vaporizer in which you can place a small piece of hash, which is then heated. The smoke that comes out of the puff is mainly composed of cannabinoids, so it doesn't affect the lungs.
However, other methods exist, such as combustion (smoking a hash CBN cigarette). Often mixed with tobacco, hash can however have an impact on the lungs and addiction, notably due to the nicotine present.
Finally, some people are tempted by CBN resin in the form oftea bag as well as by ingestion. CBN hash goes perfectly with your dishes and desserts, adding a little of its flavor and texture.
